I’m a college student in Atlanta from Connecticut.
Texan student at my college hit me from behind and I went into the car in front of me.
Car is front of me was fine and left after a minute.
Girl tried to convince me not to file a police report and to settle this outside insurance.
I filed a police report ASAP.
It was her fault.
I originally agreed to settle this outside the insurance until my damages were estimated to be $1500+ for back bumper (Saab 9-5 sedan).
Is she responsible for damages for the front of my car where I was pushed into another car by her? Or will my insurance find me at fault for going into the car in front of me.
Cause of accident:
I was the 4th car and the first car immediately stopped to make a sudden turn across the street. 2nd, 3rd car, and I both stopped without an incident. 4 seconds after stopping she hits me. I go into the 3rd car in front of me.
The girl has to pay for my front damage in addition to the back damage right?

You were VERY wise to require a police report, and yes, she will be liable for the damages to the front of your car. She would have been liable for the damage to the car you were pushed in to, if they had stuck around to claim any.
You will find that your insurance company will indeed file a claim against her’s for the damages to the front and rear of your vehicle.

From here on out, you should only let the insurance companies deal with each other. Do not speak to the girl that hit you. If she calls you, refer her to your insurance company.
And, to clarify, YES, she will have to pay for the damage to both ends of your car.
